So i pulled out the entire disty wiring harness to fix it...

No joke, we've had several Ford products come through in the last year with the injector harness looking just like that. Something about the insulation in those wires that the rodents like.

We also gets lots of cars that have rodent nests in the air filter housing.

If I'm not mistaken, that's the knock sensor connector, right?

Sho'nuff. Knock sensor connector.

And nope, no rats or anything like that underhood. Just heat. Heat is what killed the insulation on these wires...that and they are about 18 years old come March.

Anyhow, Ive patched things up, the wiring harness is sitting beside the puter on a work table...too tired to install it. Plus, gotta change tires and install another (quieter) exh before a running test is started...oh, and unfoul plug #2...its all oiled up.

Well, ive fixed it. But now I have picked up a permanit miss on cyl #1. Getting spark and fuel.....maybe it just gave up.

cylinder 2 fouled with oil, cylinder one not firing, what did you do to your motor?!

actually i made a mistake in ID'ing cyliders, cyl #1 is the problem child!

so... no compression? maybe you should downgrade to 8.5:1 carb pistons if you have to take the motor apart. Then you can get back into the boost again with less det probs.

Im gonna go back to a stock turbo bottom end.

But then again, i do have another 9.5:1 SB laying around...
