1982 2wd 5spd solid lifter hitachi carbed gl wagon. Little rust, rough interior, needs a wheel bearing (or two), a couple shocks, front left fender.... and oh yeah a tune-up. First tank has already whooped my Outbacks arse when it comes to fuel mileage. It has cruise, electric windows, power steering and a/c. Actually wish it didn't have all that but oh well. I suppose after a tune-up, valve adjustment, and an air filter I should be looking at 35mpg possibly? This thing's geared tall thank goodness, tired of turning high rpms in that darn Outback. This will be my new daily driver if I can get it straightened out.

Sounds SWEET! I can't wait to see pics! I love my 84 2x4, I love the gear ratio as well. I got in the mid 30's the summer I drove mine so I would think you could pull if off no problem!
