Nav in a 2008 OBW - worth it?

Featured Replies

I'm looking for a 2008 6-cyl OBW. Is the OE nav of that year worth looking for? A minority of the cars available come equipped with it, so if I were to require it my selections would be limited. I sense that a current edition Garmin, Magellan, or TomTom is probably considerably more sophisticated.

according to the some 6 or 8 forums i read on this, the answer is heck no its not worth it.

get a garmin and get your free updates every year.

haha, have it in my spec b, only because it standard. i hate it. we opted out of it in my wifes tribeca and outback. get a stand alone like mentioned above.

Agreed. For the most part, factory Navi systems (on any car) are a waste of time and money, expensive to update, and difficult to use.

A navigation system??? Who needs that? I just glance up at the sun or the stars and let the sky show me the way.

Or, if I have my wife along I ask her which way she would go. Whatever she suggests is invariably wrong.
