Are all jump seats created equal?

Featured Replies

I know this is a stupid question, but were all the BRAT jump seats the same through the years? Clod is a generation 2 1985, and I was wondering if the older generation 1 seats would fit my pedestal the same.

mostly the same, but all are interchangeable. Up until sometime in 84, the supprt frame in the back, just had a tube that came up each side of the back, and there was a rubber cap that went on the end. lots of these were lost, which allowed water down in, and the pistol grip bars rusted off. sometime in '84 they started making the back supports with a continuous rube that went up one side, crossed over, and down the other side.

There was a seat composition change as well, possibly at the same time....

Thanks for the information, I've found a guy that has a pair out of a 1980 about 4 hours from here. Good to know they will fit before making the 8 hour round trip to pick them up. The hard part will be training my old Lab Jimi to sit in them. Thanks again.

I've got the original headrests in super condition hanging on the wall in my garage just waiting for some seats to make them feel useful.
