roof leak was a rust hole where the t-top "hinges". it no longer leaks through there, but I dented the roof right at the edge of the windshield (right before shattering the t-top) so now it's leaking in a different spot it's put away for the winter now, but I have my little 31's on it now in case I want to drive it. holes in floor are all "repaired" so it will not be freezing cold inside. really needs a clutch now.

are the blend doors vacuum actuated? I get some heat blowing out on the drivers side, but not the passenger side. wifey not happy.....
  13. For those who've been looking for stuff... The Subarus of the 80s site has returned. freshly re-organized, and still with some of the wrong spec info, but it's back! http://www.indysworld.com/subaru/index.html
  14. Okay, got a 88 DL wagon with an EA81 in it. I think I have the right spots on the ea82 harness for the temp guage, but I'm not sure if the 2 blade gauge on the ea81 will work with the ea82 harness? thoughts?
  15. thanks JesZek. Looks like the "stock" sender was a single wire, but I was able to get my ea81 2 wire to work fine. I hooked it up to the wrong wires 5 years ago
  16. the 88DL was originally SPFI. I still need to get the FSM so I can look at the wiring diagram....

    13 inch tire discussion

yep, I just got some of these for Guido.
  19. yes, just the Brat left.... Hoping to add 2" of lift to it this year to make it more street friendly (need to create more space between the bumpstops and the axles, and add a steering stabilizer. and it's due for some rust repairs. still have potential for the SPFI conversion on the EA81, but just no desire to get it done. Traded the Baja off on a big truck and sold the '72 Chevy K20 I had. My first ever vehicle starting with an F, but I love it. 440 HP/860 TQ is nice to have 1 Subaru 1 Toyota (Scion) 1 Ford 2 Chevy 1 Pontiac
  20. hey, I might actually finally get to this about 20 months ago, I picked up the EA81T PS pump bracket and pump I think, so that should be the last bit of parts needed...

    Guidos New Life

    and....?
  22. I picked up a FW Minicars brochure. They were the makers of the Brat GoKarts. So not only did Subaru give them away as part of the prize drawings in '79 or so, but you could order them. New price in 1981 was $850 if buying 1. $725 for 2-5 units, and $625 if 6 or more ordered. top speed of 15 mph with 3 hp Briggs & Stratton engine.... available in the following colors: Orange Blue Red Yellow Silver Black White I've seen the Brats in Red, Blue, and Yellow so far. anybody have pics of any other color?
  23. I used this in a PM, and thought it might be a good sticky. Feel free to add pics. I will eventually take all the pictures and use them in a rehosted page... post pics and description of lift and tires only. other stuff WILL be deleted. 3" lift, pug 15" alloys, 205/65r15, just a slight roll at back of wheel well in front... same lift, with 195/70r14 tires. same lift, 205/70r14 tires on genuine subaru alloys... 3" lift, 14" pug steels, 27x8.50x14 BFG All-Terrains. slight trimming of rear of front wheel well... same vehicle with same size tires, but BFG Mud Terrain. same wagon with 225/70r14 ATs, and a different Brat with 4" lift, and the 27x8.50x14 BFG Mud-Terrains. same wagon, but with 4" lift, 27x9.50x15 Swamper SSRs on 15" chevy/toyota wheels (high offset). still haven't beat enough to stop rubbing.... Brat with 5" lift and 27x9.50x15 swampers on same wheels as above.... lots of trimming/bashing, and tied down in pic.... same Brat with complete customs suspension, toyota axles, lots of trimming, and 315/70R17 (35") all-terrains. Comparison to Blue Brat from above...
