  1. hmmm. I don't remember mine being that close....
  2. http://www.indysworld.com/vehicles/1985-hatch-tan/85hatch-0.jpg http://www.indysworld.com/vehicles/1982-wagon-red-junkwagon/junkwagon1.jpg that's one I had some years back... the louvres are in CO waiting on completion of a hatch resto-mod by The Sucker King
  3. I like the diff reinforcement!
  4. this is the only current US auction, but it's just in the list, no telling on if they actually have one... http://www.ebay.com/itm/MOMO-Steering-Wheel-Hub-Adapter-Kit-also-will-fit-SPARCO-OMP-NRG-ISOTTA-/350650896803?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item51a46c11a3&vxp=mtr anyway, both the 7301 (Gen1)and 7302 (Gen2) adapters will work on Gen2 Soobies....
  5. they have 4x140 as an option... http://shop.adapterkings.com/product.sc?productId=23
  6. it was an accessory that could be ordered. It was better than nothing, but I thought it could have been a little taller still... http://www.indysworld.com/80s/general/literature/brochures/1980-acc-c.jpg I've had a set of the sport mirrors (on that page) in the past too, plus I think I may still have one of the walnut shift knobs.... your best bet to get it a right fit, is to test fit it. I don't remember what the padding bas was now. 2x4? anyway, you could use a 4x4 as a base to get it higher, and use some really dense foam.
  7. http://www.indysworld.com/vehicles/1980-skiwag/interior/PDC_0048.JPG my Mom recovered it for me...
  8. '82 Brat GL 2003 Baja this is an old pic. it now sits about 2" higher than this due to new springs and struts for an '05 baja, so technically it's lifted 1" over stock specs.... and just for kicks... 1972 Chevy K-20 with 4" lift.
  9. in a few weeks I start the part out of this... Items for sale will be: Wheels/Tires (missing one ceter cap) Vinyl Floor (not sure how good it is) EA71 Engine with side mount starter bell housing (coolant blowing into airbox thru PS PCV tube, headgasket leak assumed) Items I'm keeping: Round Headlight Set-up Fenders Doors Seat rails dome light I don't think there is much more worth grabbing. And next in line for Part-out is this: I'm buying it back from the guy I sold it to 10 years ago... This pic is 10 years old. the body is now shot. captive nuts and structure that lift blocks are attached to are seperating from body. it's got a weber'd EA81 and D/R in it that I'm keeping, along with the wheels... I don't know if it has the brush guard on it still or not...
  10. I think it's like the one shown here... http://www.indysworld.com/80s/general/literature/brochures/1980-acc-a.jpg
  11. They were and mine is a Yellow Superwinch. There is no rating on it that I could see, but I think they were only rated at 1000 or 1500 pounds. I remember a guy who used to be on this board many years ago, found a brand new on, still in the box, with all the wiring and instructions... I'll see if I can get some pictures of mine... for pure usage, you can probably get a better newer one that not 30 years old
  12. Maybe... if the price is right... I picked up one of the yellow ones a long time ago. I have it mounted on a 2x6 with some big solenoids I added. I forget what kind of switch I put on it. I have 2 holes drilled in the 2x6, and I have 2 bolts permanently mounted on my car trailer so I can throw it on quickly and run it off a jump pack....
  13. I like the paintjob on the one coming out of the back of the semi!
  14. yep. the gen1 brats have a 3.90 rear and a 3.89 front.
  15. do this first... http://www.indysworld.com/80s/general/USRM/mick-usrm/ea81-shifter-fix/EA81ShifterFix.html
  16. when you moved it to 3rd, did you just force it while stopped, or try to do it with the engine off? it your clutch wasnt fully adjusted right, this could still happen. if forcing it, the shifter fork could have bent... at this point, I'd pull the engine back out and make sure the clutch and TO bearing arm are okay and not bent.

    Ea81

as long as it's the Hatchback with EA81, it should work if it's a gen2 Brat light bar... (assuming you mean a front brushguard with light mounts) I updated my above post with corrected years...

    Ea81

if it was from a 82-87 Brat (GEn2) it should fit any 80-84 4WD Wagon or 80-89 4wd hatch. The GEn1 Brats (78-81) and gen1 4WD wagons (76-79) had the narrower engine compartments, but an ea81 will still fit, however it would be best to use a '81 GL Brat crossmember, which was the only GEn1 to come stock with the EA81, and had a slightly different engine crossmember to move the steering rack access a bit wider to help clear the ea81... as far as light bars, some may fit differently due to the switch from chrome bumpers to the plastic covered front bumpers...

  22. Yeah. Do you still have the other side out to try and match? I may even have one laying around...
