I bought an aftermarket core to replace my original which was leaking. The replacement required the purchase of two (identical) O-rings. When I removed the original core and unscrewed the lines I found that the o-rings are not identical. One is about half the thickness of the other. I contacted the aftermarket dealer to no avail, they list the rings as identical.

 

Wondering if I should go to the dealer for the rings.. Anyone run into this issue before?

Yes - go to the dealer for o-rings.

Dealer does not have them. Apparently the dealer replacement core doesn't need them because the pipes do not detach. Can't find them anywhere...

Try Napa or Federated Auto Parts. They usually have lots of random small parts like that.
