February 6, 201115 yr Just curious to see if anyone has put a ridicoulous engine swap in there subaru. (i.e. say chevy 350 or ford 6.0 liter, Turbo SR22..., etc, etc.) Please post pics and if you want to costs and what had to be altered....
February 7, 201115 yr Most engine swaps are ej series Subaru engine swaps. You could put an sti motor or a 2.5 rs motor in fairly cheap depending on how much you get the engine for. Im sure someone's dropped a 350 in one, but that would take a lot of fab work and suspension that could hold up a v8.
February 8, 201115 yr I love that project flight_of_pain great work! As stated about most of us do another subaru engine. February 11, 201115 yr always thought the rotary would be great in an rx. Especially since rx was mazdas designation for "rotary experimental" Not a torquey enough engine for the off road crowd but would be great for an auto x or fun daily driver car
February 14, 201115 yr I saw a post on here some time ago with a guy that installed a Honda Goldwing motorcycle engine in his Subaru. I'll do some digging and see if I can find it. Here are some great engine swap & modifications I've found over the years:
