the alarm system on my 1997 Legacy Outback is set off by other peoples remote keyless entries. when i'm parked in a parking lot or even in my own yard my alarm will go off from other people either locking or unlocking their doors using their rke. does anybody know of a way to change the frequency on these things? i've considered just unhooking the dang thing however it did chase a theif off one time , so i enjoy the piece of mind. any hints or suggestions on how to prevent this? curtis

i cured this by buying a new / different remote and programming it to my alarm system. problem solved.
