SO just bought this car 90 legacy wagon 2.2l 5 speed. The guy before me changed the dash cluster because the odometer went out. He ended up putting in an automatic cluster in so idk the differences. Anyways i washed out the engine bay with degreaser and now i have three lights on on the dash that wont go out.

1. Stop lamp

2.Brake light ( as in e-brake nut its not on)

3.and the battery light ( alternator works and all)

How do i get them off?

What do the lights mean?

What should i check First?

Help me figure this out please and thank you in advance.

sounds like the alternator got wet.. most of the time when you clean the engine you cover the alt up.

start unplugging connectors and blowing out the water with compressed air and giving each a squirt with WD-40, eventually you'll hit the right one.
