Emissions canister

Featured Replies

Does anyone know what the large hose on the bottom of the emissions canister goes to. This is the canister that is just below where the factory air box is on an ea82 engine. I just noticed it was hooked up to the canister but the other end wasnt connected to anything. I did notice alittle vacuum coming from it.

I just noticed that today.

I was looking for a vacuum leak but I assume it is to drain condensation out of the canister. I don't know if it is contributing to the leak or if it is something not to worry about.

The charcoal canister on my ea82t xt had a fat hose underneath with a few bends in it. It didn't go anywhere.
