Tensioner brakcet

Featured Replies

Trying to put together someone else's work here, so I am a bit off.

Something does not look right. This is a 97, with the old style tensioner.

Is there supposed to be some kind of bracket that the tensioner bolts to?

If it is, then I have another missing part.

what engine? in my 93 leg 2.2 i stripped a bolt hole in what i thought was the block under the a/c. but it was a bracket that bolted to the block behind the tensioner. the bracket bolt was for one of the pulleys. the whole face of the block and head is level across there when putting the tensioner on. maybe the bolt holes are raised slightly.

Yeah there's a bracket that bolts to the block. It fills out the area kinda between the oil pump and cylinder head.

Great, thanks,

Know where I can find one?

Doubt salvage yards will take one off an engine,.
