2001 Outback 3.0 Wagon, VDC automatic. What do you call the part that prevents your shifter from moving when brake pedel is not depressed ??? My shift stuck the other day and I had to pop out the cap and stick a screw driver in the hole to get it to shift in gear. All I get is a click when I press down on the brake. It will not unlock shifter like it used to. Need a part number of name of this so if I call junk yard they know what I an talking about. Is there a fuse or an ajustment for this or do they just go out and have to be replaced ??? thanks
