August 1, 201114 yr Been on the trails a few times now with no breakage. Things work well. Happy with the results too. No pics from the trail just yet. Having too much fun to stop for pics, sorry! A shot from the driveway last night though. With a little downward pressure all 4 touch! Those are 35's on the Jeep!! Edited August 1, 201114 yr by Qman
August 1, 201114 yr very nice... do you still have the stock rear springs??? if so, look into replacing them with the 63" chevy springs. Real common mod and worth every penny (and minute of fab) Not only will you get more flex, but you can get rid of those pesky lift blocks
August 1, 201114 yr Author Rear are sort of stock... I pulled overloads and added a couple more stock leafs to the pack. I thought about 63's but I also have a set of 3rd gen rears that are similar in length to the Chevys. Only problem is that when I put the flatbed on I cut the rear frame down. Now, to add longer springs I have to add material back onto the end of the rails. Because if I go with longer springs I want to stretch it a bit instead of narrowing the wheelbase.
August 2, 201114 yr I'm stoked Ken. We are gonna be digging it big time. We get to do the "impossible" stuff now. hehehehe Remember when you were bored driving my stock rump roast sammi with 30s and a rear locker? Next time we see eachother, I'll be teh one driving up onto your tire in the pic! Did you gusset that bed yet? Better. Edited August 2, 201114 yr by Zap

A little freaky the first time.
August 2, 201114 yr Oh, I know. Especially with a little tilt to the terrain. And especially when a litte run at it is required cuz of no lockers. lol Edited August 2, 201114 yr by Zap
August 19, 201114 yr Ok. His tires don't stick out enough to really get a bite, but this wasn't any kind of problem at all. Edited August 19, 201114 yr by Zap
