I have an '84 GL with the EA81 and a 4-Speed D/R 4WD. My tranny is starting to go. Shifting into third gear is a problem. It doesn't like to go into gear, unless you get it just right; and good luck downshifting to third... If anyone has had this problem, feel free to comment, I want to know what's up. However, my real question is: Is it possible to swap a 5-Speed D/R from an EA82 motor into my Subaru? I know pretty much everything is possible, but just wondering. I need a new clutch, so when I replace that, I'd plan on doing the swap. Thanks a whole bunch
