Most blown axles in one day

Featured Replies

I'm Curious,

Who has grenaded the most:

1)axles

2)rear diff stubbs

in one day, on one rig????????????????????

For me:

#1) I've trashed both fronts and a rear, hillclimbing in my 87t wagon, then I ran out of axles and went home...

2)-None

Who holds this claim to subaru abuse/repair fame?

Anybody with a lincoln locker has to have beaten me, not to mention those with t-case mods :-\

on my old 85 wagon, i broke 1 front axle and blew the struts through the towers jumping it. does that count?

in my 93 impreza, i broke the CV joint at the hub, inturn causing the cv joint rod fly into the lower control arm at 50 mph i had to replace the caliper, cv joint, lower control arm and brake line.....weak cv joints dont like 180 degree corners at full throttle...

so much for a fun filled weekend racing some hill climbs...made a horrid noise too...made the hair on the back of my neck stand up :(

in worse news, a 93 subaru Legacy turbo 5mt, new tires = too much grip, not enough slip....complete roll, destroyed roof, driverside quarter panel and hood....i sure miss that car :(

1 rear stub axle, 1 front and grenaded the whole outer cup on the front axle. in one day of wheeling. then shortly after that broke another stubb. like the next day. it hasn't drove since..... still getting tools and parts to repair it.
