Is it feasible to replace my fuel filter with one of the "universal" inline filters as opposed to the one specifically for the EA82? The "correct" filter costs an ungodly frikkin $20 @ Autozone/OReillys/AdvAuto, the uni inline is only about $4...

Remember that the Original Subaru Gasoline Filters are designed to be used on 5/16" Hoses, not all "universal" ones measures that, they usually are for 1/4" hoses.
