mercuryrising17 Posted November 3, 2011 Share Posted November 3, 2011 Would it harm anything to run my legacy with the belt for the power steering pump off. i just got done with a headgasket replacement and when I started it one of ky pilots sound bad and I want to make sure its not something o n the timing belt. idosubaru Posted November 3, 2011 Share Posted November 3, 2011 what you're describing is done all the time to verify if something is caused by the p/s, belt, pulley, etc or to move a car around, parts car, mechanically in progress, etc. so you're golden. due to the alternator it's use as a daily driver like this will be limited.
