December 17, 201114 yr Hi ALL! This IAC thing is getting beyond stupid ! I've done the clean throttle body with cleaner, still stalls under heavy breaking ! I've replaced the brake booster, also stalls under heavy breaking. I bought the gasket that is link suggested to clean my IAC, it doesn't look anything like what I have ! So..just HOW stupid am I ! I have a '01 Legacy GT Wg, Auto, it's a EJ251 SOHC motor. I thought I could use the procedure in the link below to clean my IAC, before I bought one. MY IAC doesn't look like this ! I've posted a pic of my Subee, just were IS the IAC ? IS it the round thing to the right ? The part number on that sticker is A33-661-R02, I've been told by Subee parts that it's a bad number! What gives ! HELP SubeeTed ! http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=781242 Edited December 17, 201114 yr by SubeeTed

December 17, 201114 yr under the passenger side intake manifold. has a large hose going to it with a plug on the top. here it is in my hand Edited December 17, 201114 yr by 1-3-2-4
December 17, 201114 yr That's the older style IAC. On the newer cars it's that small round part with the blue sticker on it. http://subarupartsforyou.com/cp_partdetail.php?partid=3482 That number on the sticker is the part manufacturers part number, not Subarus. I has a small O ring on the housing that shouldn't need to be replaced. Remove the 2 screws and the valve will pull out of the throttle body. Spray down the valve and the ports in the throttle body with throttle body/ air intake cleaner. Edited December 17, 201114 yr by Fairtax4me

Which is why I "undid" my answer but couldn't figure out how to delete it. My response was the same about under #3 basically with the 1" stiff hose going to it.
