January 8, 201214 yr give me a advise for replace timing belt on the double ohc. i really want try replaced timing belt on the EJ25. it's hard for replace timing belt than i thought? (compare of EA82/EJ22)
January 8, 201214 yr Check here for good info on timing belt change. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showpost.php?p=952890&postcount=7 http://www.lovehorsepower.com/SubaruDocs/TimingWaterPump.htm
January 8, 201214 yr When it comes to multi cam multi head set ups, I like to use binder clips to keep the belt in the right place on the camshaft. Probably not the kind of advice you were after, but it makes things 100x easier when you're not fighting with the belt skipping around.
January 8, 201214 yr if you can do an EJ22 you can do a DOHC, they're not hard at all. it's just lining up pulleys, if one slips out of place, put it back. get it right and install the belt, it's really nothing any more technically challenging.
January 8, 201214 yr Get the plier type of clamps - including a largeer one for the splined crank pulley. Thay and installint he lower left idler last makes all the difference.
