strut/lowering spring question

Featured Replies

So I've seen superdave use the 05' legacy gt coilovers on his 88' wagon is there any possible way I could order new struts for the 05' legacy gt and lowering springs. And use them on my 87' wagon ? Its like a poor mans version haha .... but just making some modifications like he did for the rear to fit, which top hat chould be used ? Just curious if it could work

There's a bit more involved then that. You also need to have the correct EJ parts in the front end with a 5-lug conversion. Then use the EA82 top hats on the front and the rear will need the EA82 top hats and have the correct bushing setup to keep the suspension happy.

Might be more to it but I can't think of it right now.

Also stock rear springs have a large diameter than coilovers, which make for some clearance issues in an EA82.

It's possible, but not nearly the easy solution you're invisioning

I'd go with coil over sleeves from a Honda accord Im not 100% that those Are the right ones but I've heard they work

I'm using some for an Impreza on two cars. Not sure if they will go over the EA front strut but they go over the rear shocks.
