Hey everyone, like i have said in the past, i am moving to phoenix, well Glendale, in july, of this year.

 

and i was wondering, anyone that lives down there can you reccomend some places to apply to for a job. when i leave seattle july 30th, it will take 3 days to drive so i will arrive Auguest !st. and i start school the 9th of august so if anyone can please give me some good leads or help, maybe even give me a job.

 

i used to deliver pizzas for a place around here so i can deliver stuff rather easily, also i cooked and cleaned there.

 

then i also worked at Sears, seasonal cashieer, and such.

 

i can e-mail my ressume to anyone that would concider hiring me.

Delivering stuff in PHX is easy. The streets are laid out and numbered in a way that makes it almost impossible to get lost.

 

Where are you going to school?

ya i know about the roads everthing is just a big square inside a larger one basically.

 

and im going to UTI automotive tech school.

Dominoes, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, and various smaller chains and independants abound here. Metrocenter (a large mall) is near Glendale as well (Sears, Dillards, JC Penney). The new Glendale Arena (AZ Coyotes) just opened. Good luck.

 

As a previous poster indicated, the Phoenix metro area is laid out in a grid. Streets and Avenues run north / south. Central Ave is (obviously) the center. Streets are on the east, avenues are on the west, and for the most part are numbered (1st Street, 3rd Ave, etc.). 8 blocks = 1 mile. Roads and Drives run east / west. These are named.

 

I'm in Chandler, the opposite corner of the metro area from Glendale, but I go to school in Deer Valley (not too far from Glendale). Let me know if you need any more info.

I used to work with one of the managers that moved to Pizza Hut in Phoenix. I"m not sure which one. But I could ask and I'm sure if you mention seattle pizza it may give you an edge

thanks guys, and girl, for the leads, i hope i can get one as soon as i get down there, i need to clear atleast 1200 a month to pay for everything and have a few bucks to save up for the scooby's.

Lots of wrecking yards along Broadway Ave.(South PHX), just west of Central, IIRC.

oh sweet thanks for that heads up, ill have to call up some of those bone yards, and i can only hope i get dips on parts commin in.
