February 23, 201214 yr I've got a new longer steering shaft that I need to install after installing OB body spacers and 1" strut spacers. Is dropping the cross member the easiest way or am I missing something?
February 23, 201214 yr Don't drop the crossmember. Just unbolt both lockdowns on the coupler, slide it all the way up the steering column, until the bottom end is free, then pull it back off the other way.
February 23, 201214 yr Author Tried that last night but it would slide up far enough. Also, sent you a PM yesterday RE: lift pricing...just an FYI.
February 25, 201214 yr Tried that last night but it would slide up far enough. It will. spray some PB or WD-40 on it. take the bolts all the way out. I'll check my inbox.
February 26, 201214 yr Author I got it out but couldn't get the longer one in so I put out all back together for now.
February 26, 201214 yr Just drop the steering rack down (4 bolts). That should give you enough room and play to get it on there. Just be carful of your steering lines.
