Im going to try to save my cruise on my swap. Will any m/t module work? If i get one from a legacy or 1.8 impreza as long as it's m/t? or is it specific?

engine alone shouldn't matter - but i would try to get one from the same generation as yours - like 95-99.

 

they're essentially worthless parts that rarely (never) fail so it should be really easy to find one the same year as yours for cheap.
