May 9, 201213 yr Im having problems trying to find out why the check engine light is staying on. May 11, 201213 yr It is in back of the oil dipstick. Remove the plastic cover and you will see two small soleniods with two wire connctors. They suppose to have a vent on the side. Check the resistance. As far as I remember it suppose to be 36 Kohm. Search the forum for EGR solenoid and you will find a lot of information. This is a very common promblem with EA82 engine. May 11, 201213 yr Are you sure it's the EGR temp sensor and not the EGR solenoid code? That's a california only sensor.... it will be in the EGR passage - so likely on the manifold near the EGR valve or pipe. GD
