May 21, 201213 yr I'm looking at diamond racing pro series in the 15"X7" and I'm not sure which backspacing to get. I wanna run 215/75/15 general grabbers and they will definitely not fit with my current backspacing. I have about a centimeter from my 205/55/16's to the strut so I need the backspacing to stick the tire out about an inch or so to clear the strut. anyone use these on imps?
May 21, 201213 yr well I was rubbing on my stock wheels with bigger tires on the struts. now I have 215/75's and a better offset. if ur going with the 15x7 go with a 4" or 5" backspacing. that way you won't destroy WB's and other stuff but still have a nice look.
May 21, 201213 yr Author Thanks a lot man, maybe I should just ask you these things on FB haha gonna go with a 4" backspacing then cause they don't have an option for 5". do you know what the backspacing for stock subaru alloys is? I could measure but i'm not at home atm
May 21, 201213 yr lets see.... 5.5in usually a +45 offset for stock.. so thats 5.5inx25.4 to convert to mm. which is 139.7 so 140 for esey math then half of that is 70 for the measurement then plus 45 = 115 then 115/25.4 to get back to inches = 4.53" of stock back spacing. so the diamond racing ones would give you an extra 1/2"
May 21, 201213 yr Author Ok cool. thanks for breaking it down. so an extra 1/2" is 12.7mm extra clearance, which should fit perfect because the increase in tire width is only 10mm from stock.
May 30, 201213 yr I know wrx alloy 16" wheels are 55mm offset Stock outback alloy 16"wheels 45mm I have Konig incident 15" with a 40mm offset
