I have an 85 DL and for the life of me i cant find the flasher. everywhere ive read says its driverside either by the hood release or attatched to the steering column support somewhere.

I've spent a good five minutes trying to find it on my EA81 before.

Could he be looking for the actual flasher relay itself by chance?

On EA81's, you can see it through the left front speaker opening (left of column on dash). Of course, you will take the speaker out if it is there. Anyway, the above thread will give you a general idea of the flasher location.

i do mean the flasher relay sorry for the confusion.i will look for that i had basically given up and decided it must be part of the turn signal switch. i dont have speakers in my dash but ill assume its hidden way up inside there. i had the dash all torn apart yesterday and no matter what contortions i ended up in couldnt locate it. so to clear things up it definetly has one and it isnt built into the switch correct?

It will have a really tiny dipstick on nit to check the flasher fluid level.
