I'm looking for a service/repair manual for my 2001 obw ltd...local subaru dealer says they don't sell them to the public. Anyone know if that's true and if so are there any others available. I've emailed Haynes and they say they have no plans to do one for the 2000 & later at this time due to low projected sales.

Sometimes they will showup on Ebay. Also check here for PDF versions http://techinfo.subaru.com/html/index.jspthere is a 19.99 subscription fee for a 72hr subscription but if you have broadband you should be able to download everything in that amount of time or order the different CDs.

thats sad that they won't take some time and get you the manuals. please tell us what dealer to avoid. the part number you'll need for a 2001 2.5 legacy is:

01LEGH4SRVMN the number for a 3.0 is : 01LEGH6SRVMN
