My New 83 GL and 90 Loyale

Featured Replies

my 1990 Loyale that i was given when i was 16 as my first car and im going on 26 now. automatic 2wd. had 143,000 miles when i got it and now has 219,000. been to new york twice in it. of course ive redone this entire car except interior cause its still like brand new...... I just bought the 1983 GL yesterday as my new restore project for $300, it was parked in 1998 and been setting ever since. nothing was wrong it when parked. i got it running but for only 2 minutes then turned it off. only has 1 spot of rust on rear quarter around wheel, interior is nearly mint except 2 cracks in the dashboard. only has 104,000 miles on her. im gonna get her on the road before i start body work and paint. pulling the gas tank off tomorrow to clean it out and take carb off for rebuild, then all the fluids being changed and go from there with it. it is a 5speed, only 2wd as well. oh, and im the second owner for it.

thanks. i love the sedans and coupes more than wagons... wagons way to common it seems... plus my parents always had subaru's as i was growing up. mom had a silver 84 DL couple and dad had a 83 and 84 GL wagons, one 5spd 4wd and other was 5spd 2wd... ive always loved older subaru's, of course i want a STi, but that will have to wait until i get back from afganistan next year. (im in KY national guard)
