September 11, 201213 yr The important this is that Murph Lives!!!!! Yeah funny how I pinpoint the problem and all I get is flak! You're welcome... The wire also has a shield around it. The shield can short to the center conductor, so it's a good idea to also check from the wire to ground to see if it's shorted.

No. It's not as if this is some sort of personal attack or anything. We just disagree on a couple of details. And, BTW, when we are disguising grounding the shield wire at the knock sensor end, I don't consider the engine block a ground. I would have grounded the wire to the chassis, which is where the other end is also grounded to. Edited September 11, 201213 yr by Sonicfrog
September 12, 201213 yr FWIW, I grew up in Wichita, KS. They don't sell hay there... it's a city. You'd have to get out of town to say Colwich or Andale to find any hay. I have to laugh ! Sorry...
