Question about the front catalytic converter

in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVX

On the 97 Outback wagon.. I have my doubts but I don't think any stock Subaru front cat came with two bung openings? Obviously the o2 sensor takes one but it has a spot for another.

I have seen in factory workshop manual a code for a cat temp sensor, could that be what the other bung is for?

96-98 Leagcy and IIRC impreza too have two, o2 bungs in the front CAT.

 

One upstream of the Honeycomb, the other downstream.
