I've seen a few videos on Youtube of people removing their exhaust resonator to make their car sound better, but does this do anything performance wise(good or bad or nothing at all).

I am not a professional but I know from expeiance that nine out of ten times modifying a stock exaust system on a stock engine isn't going to help much if at all. The only way I could see this giving better performance would be if there were other modifications to the engine all ready. It might make it sound cooler though

sorry but that sounded like the muffler had a hole in it, kinda groovy if you want your subi to sound like a truck.

 

The resonator removal will make your exhaust louder, but you then need to put a hotdog or turbo muffler, to stop your subaru from sounding like a dump truck.

 

you are better off paying for something like this
