Outbackman
Help, Just got my 01 Legacy Outback LTD a couple of weeks ago. Heavy rain today and my moonroof is leaking. Dripping around the moonroof switch and the map lights. Havn't been back to the dealer yet. Is this a common problem? Any solutions? Also while I'm here, I have a shimmy of the steering wheel at 68 to 75 MPH. New tires, balanced, tires inflated to 30 PSI all around. Suggestions? I have the remainder of 30 days to get the dealer to fix these problems. Thanks,:-\ W
jcole01108
Had the same problem on my 2000 Outback. There is a techniocal service bulletin about it. They applied some sealer and cleaned the gutters or so I was told and I have never had the problem again. I also had a mystery problem with the moon roof opening on its own in the rain. Lovely experience. Only happened once.

Turbone
Have the dealer check to see if the drains are working. See if they will replace the front axles. When all else has been checked and replaced on the front end, this is usually the culprit.
