October 16, 201213 yr What is the difference between Impreza and Legacy hood hinges? Dave has two and isn't sure if they're impreza or legacy, is there an easy way to tell the difference? Everything I have and my friends have is legacy stuff or i'd compare.
October 21, 201213 yr I looked at my 1st gen Legacy and 1st gen Impreza and the hinges are different. The rear bolt/mount on the impreza goes back under the cowling. The Legacy doesn't. If he's still trying to figure out which is which and can post a pic, I can probably clarify.

October 21, 201213 yr Well I looked in the parts book and there are different part #'s between the 95-99 Legacies and 93-01 Imprezas. As for the specific differences, I'm not sure. If you can get the build date, I can give you the part #'s for the hinges. They're only like $15 at Subarugenuineparts. It may be easier just to buy new hinges.
