Adding map lights to 95 Outback

Featured Replies

Tom (TheLoyale) has been helping me with this but I figured it was never a bad idea to get more opinions. I was wondering if I could use the map light assembly out of my 91 on the 95 Outback since the 95 did not come with map lights, for whatever reason.

I'd suggest a brand new kit, H4610AC000MS, $6 at 1stsubaruparts if they still have it. Comes with instructions and, importantly, a template for cutting the headliner. Wiring is simple: just fish one wire from the ceiling light connection. Measuring and cutting takes some patience.
