have a subaru leone for 2 years now, finally got it started but when i try to move, it only goes forward, it goes forward in every gear, park, reverse, and even in neutral :mad: i really need some advice asap. thnkx

Sounds like a valve body problem if the cable is OK/adjusted.

okay, could i get a little more details on this, i rebuilt the engine myself so i think i should be able to work on the tranny too. its the 4wd transmission (not full time 4wd tho)

seems simple, but did you check the mechanical connections underneath? if they have come loose or off of the actual shift lever it wouldnt change gears no mater where its at.

park and neutral working now (seemed as if it fixed itself) but not getting any reverse still.... any suggestions?

drive the snot out of it! get the gunk out of the valve bodys.

maybe try the sea-foam trans tune.

if it sat for a while it probably just needs to stretch its legs.
