port head on starboard side

Featured Replies

Man I hope this not the first time this has happened. Some one else must have been this unattentive. Son #3 and I have just put an ea 82 back in 93 Loyale.

Shot head gaskets. All things going good until it comes to the egr 90 deg elbow.

Heads are reversed. #$%@!**&^ etc. and then some.

Can I plug passages and run this way? Any other uniqueness from right to left that will screw me up. Will it run at all?

Let's just keep this one a secret eh boys?

rick and phil

The carb heads are symmetrical, they on either side. Turbo heads will too, but there is a little work involved getting them to work.

Did the same thing on a VW project (not the one in my sig). After cursing for a while, I took the elbow, cut it in half, brazed the ends shut, installed and ran it. No problem (unless you are trying to pass an emissions test).

little more throttle response from no egr

so its not all bad :)

maybe a tad more power

doe syour car have a o2 sensor in the exhaust?

if it does with the egr working when you get going at a steady cruise the check engine light will come on just blip the throttle and it will goe away

mine does it
