April 8, 200422 yr I'm gonna attempt to change the head gaskets on my 79' brat. I know I need : head gaskets valve cover gaskets torque wrench besides misc hand tools what else do I need? gonna try to do without removing the engine so I'm also lookin for pointers, etc before I dive in. THANX!
April 8, 200422 yr Intake manifold gasket(s) Exhaust gasket(s) Special socket for center head bolt. feeler gages Valve lash adjustment tool (you could use regular wrenches but having the real thing is much nicer) There's probably more but I can't think too well this late.
April 8, 200421 yr Author cool...thanks for the input! Lol, yeah I was up pretty late too! Where would i get one of these special bolt tools? Are the valves a pain for the novice? I can do all kinds of car work, just never busted open an engine b4!
