antifreeze leak

Featured Replies

1987 SUBARU GL started antifreeze leak right side under engine. Can't see where it's leaking .Water pump replaced 3 months ago.Where is leak Help!

All ea82 coolant leaks look like they are at the bottom... gravity at work.

Check radiator hose and thermostat housing, little-bitty hose running from side of t-stat housing to underneath intake manifold (common leaker), intake-manifold-to-head gaskets (have a coolant passage), waterpump-bypass hose, heater hoses. Anything leaking on the topside of the engine will resent as drips off of the bottom.

I have had a couple of coolant leaks where the metal pipe fits into the water pump.It seems that they started after a new water pump. That conection can be tricky to get it sealed right after it has been distrubed with the new pump.Anyway get a small mirror and snoop around..And yes sometimes its a bugger finding leaks with that graivity thing going....Things are not always what they seem....as far as where a leak starts....Good luck. Bump!!

Having similar issue with a 92 Loyale. I saw some up near the t stat hose last night... and my gaskets are shot. Bought it and resurrected it after a year and of sitting in the pnw.
