Featured Replies

i got this 76 gf its the two door it's got the 1600cc motor and i was wonderin wat the best thing to do to theat motor to make it better forthe races would be. Its an ea71 engine. if u got any advice. thanks:horse:

1600cc might race a go kart?

if you're serious about making the car fast, you're looking at swapping in new drivetrain, engine, suspension and beefing up the body to handle such things.

A 76 Subaru is a rare car. Why not restore it?

Got any pics?

ill get u guys some pics of the car wen i can. and i wont restore because the frames bent in it and my dad bought it for $75. He just wantd the seats so he gave me the car.

Subarus are unibodys not frames. Most can be pulled stretched back to alignment. or depending how inventive you are.... I once undid a crunch on a unibody by bashing it with a sledgehammer and welding some angle iron from a bed frame. Not perfect by any stretch but is was a similar set up. $300. Mazda that got me around for over a year.

im friends with a guy who owned a old orange subaru back in the 80's (just by the way he described it, it sounded like a old 70's sedan:-\) anyway he got it from a old lady and it started out mint he said it slowly got beat up then he would jump it and have to bend the unibody back in shape with a fork lift. but once he was drunk with a budy and jumped it off a loading dock so they chopped it up in a few pieces into the bed of a truck:eek:

probabley would be a good idea to build a frame or subrame to keep it from tweeking or add some support.
