it should until the contacts for N wear out like thet did for P. the part isn't hard to replace, but lying on the frozen ground to do it would not be my first choice.

this could be a loose wire, probably a ground. or maybe a bad connection.

 

is the radio stock? or aftermarket?

I wonder if the ign switch could have bad contacts. If you can get to the plug try connecting a spare and see what happens. ea81 and ea82 ign switches plug in the same

Do the wipers and radio share the same fuse on a 95? I think that they did on prev types (EA81/EA82).
