Help! '96 Legacy Outback dipstick length

This may be a tough one to answer, but can anyone tell me the length of a dipstick for a 1996 Legacy Outback? Jiffy Lube lost mine and ordered a new one, but it's not registering any oil, and none of the other indicators of low oil are there. I'm afraid they ordered the wrong one and its too short.

From bottom of yellow portion to tip is 18.5"
