March 4, 201313 yr Subaru doesn't sell or list the contacts separately. However, you can buy them from this site or from Toyota. You just need to match up the contacts with what's in your starter. More than likely, the contacts are the A style. http://4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTricks/Starter.shtml#OnlineOrdering
March 4, 201313 yr Find a Electrical bearing/drives shop somewhere in your area. We have one up here and they have yet to find me a Subaru electrical part for a starter or alternator. 90% of the parts are universal parts used in other import electrical parts
March 4, 201313 yr here is one source. iirc the price was pretty good. Metro Heavy-Duty Distributors, Inc1540 Plantation RoadRoanoke, VA 240121 (800) 296-8995http://www.metroheavyduty.com/index.html A bit more follow-up for people who mightbe interested. Got the parts in today (photo below.) For those whomight be curious, the parts descriptions on the invoice are listed here(not sure how similar the starters are across different engines, years,or even if manual vs. auto has anything to do with it, but these partsare for my 1998 Legacy Outback Limited 2.5L w/ 4EAT):SOL CONTACT ND66-82756SOL CONTACT ND66-82759PLUNGER ASSY ND-GR66-82603A quick Google search (which is where I got the above photos) revealsthese to be, presumably, Denso replacement parts. If you search thesepart numbers you get several options for sites from which you can orderthem. Hope this helps anyone looking around, since the one thing I didnot see on other threads about this issue were actual part numbers.Cheers! Edited March 4, 201313 yr by johnceggleston
