Have a rusted 1995 EJ22 oil pan.

 

Have a 1999 EJ22 Phase II engine - can i use the oil pan off of it for the 1995?

probably, but i would try the pan off of an ej25D.

if the ej22e will fit then so will the ej25d.

 

of course it will cost you more in oil over the years since it will take a little more oil to fill the pan to the full line.

more oil couldn't hurt.

thanks JCE, yes the Phase I stuff all interchanges with different volumes.

I think the only oil pan i have on hand is a Phase II EJ22...so i'll see if that works before i source something else.

All EJ oilpans will interchange.

 

However, around 2004-5 they changed to a weird design with a "cutout" on the passenger side.

 

a 99 pan should work just fine.
