Do all carburators have jets?

Featured Replies

My 1980 1.6 SRX has dual carbs.   Do these carbs contain Jets? Keep in mind this is a this is a Non-U.S model. I am confused, because I was told they do not have any.  Any advise will be appreciated.

the closest to no jeted carb whould be a SU carb but still has a jet just one big one all carbs must have jet or they could not work

Like Ivans Imports said:  They all have jets... kind of what defines them as a carburetor.  BUT... a jet is simply a fancy name for an orifice, something through which fluids pass, used for metering.  The person may have meant that the jets aren't changeable, or that there may not be any replacement jets available.
