Abs Brake System Leaking

Featured Replies

My sons 1990 Legacy has a leak in the ABS system. It is coming out of the system itself. Is there a repair kit for this system, or if need be is there a bypass, to go to regular brakes bypassing the system completely. Does anyone know of a quick fix, with at the same time a safe fix. Does anyone have one for sale at a reasonable price for a college student. I can do the work, but they are asking rediculous prices for a used unit.

Please help. email me at subarucity@aol.com

Are the lines leaking where they go into the unit? Or is the unit itself leaking somewhere?

Short answer.....there really is no way to bypass the unit. It handles splitting the two lines from the MC into four lines to each wheel.

You may want to try and find a used unit.....if you do....be aware there are different models for the abs units.
