stanced77 Posted August 3, 2013 Share Posted August 3, 2013 ok so i have a 77 wagon everything is still stock motor/electrical wise, the voltage regulator went out and fried all of my lights! if i install a internally regulated alternator do i still need a new external voltage regulator? do i have to jump any wires or leave it there? thanks in advance for any help! this is my first old vehicle! stanced77 Posted August 3, 2013 Author Share Posted August 3, 2013 fuel pump was rewired to a toggle switch by previous owner, and the reason i wanted to go to the internal is i want a higher amp alternator! how do update to the solid state regulator? sorry if these are easy questions i dont know much about wiring!
