86 GL build with ea82t

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I'm thinking of picking up a second project to play with, but this one would be well past what I've ever tinkered with before.  Never really done any heavy duty engine work.  Basic tune-up stuff, exhaust, suspension, brakes, even minor body work okay, but never a real build.

A guy is selling this 86 GL and I'm thinking of making the purchase.  I've owned a few Brats, a couple Outbacks and my current Forester.  My question is, what am I getting in to?

What would you say its worth?

Nice project and a good deal too.My very honest opinion:Option number 1, go the EJ22 route. Problem solved. The rest can come later, seems like most of the stuff has been done already. Good luck with your project, keep us posted.
