EA71 lift

Featured Replies

I know lift kits for EA71 vehicles are a bit "interesting" because of the rear suspension. After looking at the rear of my 78 brat it doesn't look as though bigger tires can easily be fitted without the tires rubbing on the suspension. So I was wondering if there is a lift kit that swaps in EA81 rear suspension?I can certainly build one and incorporate it with a 4" lift, but for the time being it might just be easier to find a lift kit that does that...So are there any lift kits that swap in EA81 suspension?BOSS,SJR,ETC?

How much would that run for just the rear blocks to swap in a EA81 torsion bar?

someone on here already makes a lift kit for these my question is why would you want to change the rear suspension? keep the same wheel offset and your fine maybe go with a 0 offset or negative that way the wheels stick out 2 advantages to this one the car is wider so more stability and 2 moves everything away from the wheel

Mainly just to remove interference from the back tires rubbing on the torsion bar.

thats just wheel choice man if your gonna lift it use chevy 6 lug rims with negative offset problem solved

Even with negative offset wheels the tires will still rub on the pivot point.I'm gonna be running a 8" lift and 31" tires.
