good idea or no i know the sound is a matter of opinion 

I say good.

Works good as a resonator in the middle of the exhaust. Pretty loud if you're just using it as a muffler at the end of a straight pipe exhaust.

I have one that's about 20years old. VERY LOUD. Sets off car alarms upon start up. The after-burn before I fixed the EGR sounded like a bomb.

 

Do it, you won't regret it.

Put one on my lifted 90 loyale. Sounds freakin sweet. Like a subi should. Do it, 100 percent worth it
